This ten (10) hour class conducted over 2 days, will prepare attendees for the hazards commonly found on a construction site, including the “Focus-Four” hazards. These four hazards include “fall from”, “struck-by”, “caught-in”, and “electrocutions”. These four hazards are among the most common cause of injuries on the jobsite. Participants will understand the hazards and the proactive steps to protect themselves and their coworkers while on the job.

Upon completion of this course trainees will be able to:

  • Identify OSHA’s “Focus-Four” hazards and how to avoid them
  • Proper methods of fall protection / fall prevention
  • When Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required
  • Avoiding personal injury from struck-by on a jobsite
  • Avoiding personal injury from caught-in or caught-between hazards on a jobsite
  • Identify common causes of electrocution on a jobsite

Construction – 29 CFR 1926
